Specialty Coating Systems, Inc. ("SCS" or the "Company") acquired by Bunker Hill Capital, L.P. ("BHC")

January 3, 2006 (Indianapolis, IN) - Specialty Coating Systems, Inc. ("SCS" or the "Company"), a former business unit of Cookson Group plc headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, announced today that it has been acquired by Bunker Hill Capital, L.P. ("BHC"). BHC is a private equity firm with offices in Boston, MA, and San Diego, CA, whose principals have more than 90 years of strategic, financial, and operational experience. BHC's strategy is to invest in sound businesses that have leading market positions with the ultimate goal of supporting greater growth initiatives.

SCS, which will continue to do business as Specialty Coating Systems, is the worldwide leader in specialized conformal coating technologies and operates 10 coating facilities throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. SCS has been engineering and applying thin-film Parylene polymer coatings to critical components in the medical, electronics, automotive, and military industries for nearly 35 years. Additionally, SCS designs and manufacturers industry-leading liquid spray, dip and spin coating systems, and ionic contamination test systems.
