Specialty Coating Systems offers two precision dip coating systems for coating printed circuit boards in non-automated product settings. The P-3201 (shown below-left) is a stand-alone floor model with an 19" x 25" tank, and the PL-3201 (shown below-right), a tabletop unit designed for lab and short-run operations, has a 14" x 18" coating tank.
These SCS dip systems can be used to apply urethane, epoxy, silicone and acrylic coatings as well as photo-resists and solder mask materials to printed circuit boards. Both have a stationary tank and an air-over-oil cylinder mechanism to move circuit assemblies into and out of the coating tank.
SCS dip system immersion and withdrawal rates are independently adjustable, and multiple boards can be handled simultaneously. Both systems are fitted with an optional inert gas blanket mechanism over the coating tank to restrict the loss of fumes and volatiles. These SCS dip coating systems meet National Fire Class I, Group D explosion-proof standard for a Division 1 environment.
